Sentinel for Dogs
Sentinel for dogs are tablets, orally administered once in a month to dogs to prevent them from heatworm diseases and flea populations. The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has universally recognized it and puppies of four weeks of age or older ones can make use of them.
These tablets provide protection against parasites such as fleas, heatworms, adult hookworms (Ancyclostoma caninum), adult roundworms, roundworms (Toxascaris leonine) and whipworms. Sentinel for dogs are known to prove successful in 99% events of flea infections.
Lufenuron and Milbemycin oxime are two main ingredients of sentinel tablets. Lufenuron restricts the development of flea eggs and thus, limits the multiplication of flea populations. However, Lufenuron does not affect adult fleas. Milbemycin oxime kills both immature and adult heatworms. It is thus, considered to hamper the parasite's nerve transmissions.
Certain side effects in the skin, digestive and brain processes occur in a tiny percentage of dogs.
